Chi Running and Chi Walking are not only a revolutionary approach to how people run and walk, they are a fabulous career opportunity as well. If you love to run and walk and be active, why not make a living doing what you love?

Everyone who becomes a Certified Chi Running Instructor will also be certified in Chi Walking as it is an integral part of how to learn Chi Running.

Certified ChiRunning & ChiWalking Instructor Program

Chi Running and Chi Walking Instructor Candidates will be trained by a Master Instructor who has been personally trained by Danny Dreyer, the founder and creator of Chi Running and Chi Walking. As a Certified Instructor you will receive the support of the whole Chi Living, Inc. team.

Certified Chi Running & Chi Walking Instructors can:

  • Teach individuals and groups the Chi Running and Chi Walking technique
  • Give public talks and presentations
  • Lead group runs and group walks
  • Write articles about Chi Running and/or Chi Walking (with final approval from Chi Living)
  • Use the Chi Running and Chi Walking logo to market your business (as specified)
  • Have a free listing on the Chi Running and Chi Walking websites
  • Sell Chi Running and Chi Walking products
  • Have the opportunity to join the Chi Living, Inc. Marketing Program

After your CRCWIT - You must fulfill all of the following requirements within one year after your CRCWIT.

Complete Candidate Self-Evaluation Form

Submit proof of CPR Certification

Submit proof of Professional Liability Insurance (Recommended site: www.sportsfitness.com. You can purchase this for approximately $150 per year)

Complete 10 hours of Chi Running coaching practice & 4 hours of Chi Walking  coaching practice with documentation

Complete 8 hours of assistant coaching with Danny or a Master Instructor that includes Chi Running & Chi Walking

Submit a DVD of yourself teaching the Chi Running method to students to a Master Instructor for review

Received approval evaluation by a Master Instructor to you and Chi Living office

Apply to ‘Be an Affiliate” on the Chi Running website

Submit your info & photo to Chi Living office for website listing

 

**You will be expected to teach lessons 0-5.5 and take a written test of the materials presented in the Chi Running Instructor's Manual on the first day of the CRCWIT course. There will be a written exam of all materials presented in the Home Study Course on the last day of the CRCWIT and another test of lessons 6-12 on the final day, in addition to a practical exam.

***A combined score of 4 out of 5 must be earned before you can become certified.

Course and Certification Fees
The Chi Running and Chi Walking Certification Program Fee is $1395. Early Bird Special Pricing of $1245 is available for each Instructor Training if you pay in full 4+ months in advance. Thereafter, pricing is $1395.00. Sign up early and save 11%! The discount will be taken for the 2nd payment/installment; all deposits must be $550. This includes all courses, programs and materials mentioned above (does not include recommended books) and in some cases your first year Certification Fee.

If you do not pay the entire cost of the course upfront, a minimum deposit of $550 is required to receive the Home Study materials and reserve your space.  Full payment of $845 is due six weeks prior to the Course. Please see the links above to pay the full deposit of the particular course you'd like to attend.

International applicants are required to pay the full amount at the time of registration and will be charged for additional shipping and handling costs: Europe: $32; Canada: $16; South America: $31; New Zealand/ Australia: $38. Potential taxes and duties from your country may be applied. Please contact Chi Living for more information.

Cancellation Policy
The $550 deposit is non-refundable. If you pay the full amount of the course upfront and cancel six or more weeks before the first day of the course, you will receive a refund less $550. If you cancel less than six weeks from the start of the course, your payments are non-refundable, but applicable toward another CRCWIT within 1 year, contingent upon space availability.

Certification Policy
Danny Dreyer or a Master Instructor must approve your final certification. An additional review of your teaching may be required if you are not approved. You will receive written instructions as to what you need to do to become Certified.

Annual Certification Renewal Fee and Recertification Course
Every two years you will be required to take a Recertification Course and every year you will be required to pay an annual fee. Your annual fee will cover the cost of this recertification course. Contact Chi Living for details about annual fee requirements and attendance at a recertification course.
